Saying Goodbye

 
This Sunday is going to be an important day in the life of our church and in the life of Rev. Dr. Cindy Schwartz. As we hear from Pastor Cindy one more time as a Pastor here at Advent, I know that we all have mixed emotions. On the one hand, we grieve because Cindy has been there for many of us in numerous ways and her transition to a new city is difficult for us to imagine. On the other hand, we understand what a gift Cindy and her family will be to the Priest Lake Presbyterian Church community, and we celebrate the kingdom work that will happen through their ministry.

Dads:
 
When people ask me about what it’s like to be a dad, I usually give them this response: “Being a dad allows me to see all of life in HD.” When our oldest child, Avery, was born a little over 8 years ago, everything seemed to change and I had to renegotiate everything I had initially thought about life. One thing’s for sure, being a dad can either bring out the best or the worst in someone. It has the potential to do that in one 24-hour period, (cough, cough) so I’ve heard.
