Baptisms: Are you planning a baptism at Advent? Please call the church office to check the main calendar to make sure the date you want is available.
Huddle Garage Sale Collections: We will be having a massive garage sale on Saturday, May 5th to raise money for our summer missions. Call the church office and let us know if you have items to donate, and we’ll come by and pick them up!
Senior ‘Advent’urers Valentine Lunch: Join us in Lindsay Hall on Tuesday, 2/14 at 11:30 am for a valentine luncheon. RSVP to Robert Crumpton. Donations will be taken for the new church bus at this luncheon.
Neighborhood Transformation Training: Advent is hosting a Neighborhood Transformation Training facilitated by Stan Rowland. Find a summary of Neighborhood Transformation, this training and registration forms at the Welcome Center. Thursday (2/16) 6-9:30, Friday (2/17) 6-9:30 and Saturday (2/18) 9-4:30. Upper Room.
Senior ‘Advent’urers: We’re going to Pinecrest for a Fat Tuesday Brunch on 2/21—a real feast before Lent begins. The cost is $10. The church bus will leave at 10:15 am if you want to ride with us. RSVP to Robert or the church office.
Ash Wednesday Service: Join us for dinner, a family service and receiving of ashes on Wednesday, 2/22 at 6:30 pm. Cost for dinner is $5. Parents will eat with Youth Club this evening and attend service together.
EPC Women’s Conference: Advent is hosting the EPC Women’s Conference. Join us for this awesome time of ministry Saturday, 2/25. The cost is $25 and includes breakfast, lunch and snacks. Pick up a brochure at the Welcome Center for details about the conference and to register.
NOTICE: We will soon have a gate at the South Fence where our parking lot connects to the side road next to El Porton. This gate will be locked except all day Sunday, Wednesday evenings and special events.

TAI CHI-Learn to relax your mind, body and spirit. Tia Chi is coming to Advent. Classes will be on Wednesdays at 8:30 beginning on Feb. 22. The fee is $4.00 per class or a punch card of 12 classes for $40.00. The same punch card works for Aerobics.
LOW COUNTRY BOIL–March 9 at 7:00. Tickets go on sale Feb. 19. $10.00 in advance. If you wait till 3/5, the fee goes up to $12.00. We still have the 9 and under plate for $5.00 and a nursery, reservation required, for $1.00 per child. Kenny Shackelford will lead the dances after dinner.
ORIGAMI – Turn paper into dimensional forms simply by folding it. Thursday, February 23, 2:00 or 7:00, $5. Register by February 13.
MINI-DRIBBLERS BASKETBALL – In house league for 4, 5, 6 year olds. February 28 – April 7, one evening & one Saturday morning each week. $35 includes shirt, trophy, team picture and pizza party. Register February 1 – 25.
YOUTH BASEBALL/SOFTBALL – Registration ends this Wednesday, February 15 for 1st grade through High School. Evenings and Saturdays at Advent and other churches March through May. $70.
ADULT SOFTBALL – Play Coed or Men, May through July. Registration is $50 plus $15 for a shirt if you don’t have one. Register by March 1.
KICKBALL – Youth and adult leagues are forming. Let us know right away if you are interested.
SPRING SOCCER – Practice one night a week at Advent and play games in Bartlett Saturdays and/or one night a week. Register by March 1.
SPIRITUAL ARTS – A monthly study group with focus on awakening the creative spirit. You will meditate on a text and reflect it in an art project. February’s evening meeting is tomorrow night at 6:30. No art experience needed. Pick up a flier at Arlington or Cordova.
MORNING PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY - Come for fellowship while creating comfort through shawls and afghans. 2nd & 4th Tuesdays, 10:00. Call the CLC if you are interested. Afternoon group meets 1st & 3rd Tuesdays at 2:00.
TUMBLING – Tumbling classes are back for 12 weeks! Mondays through 4/2. 4:45 – 5:30 $70 per child. Registration forms are at both locations and online.
ZUMBA – Tuesdays at 6:30pm (free), and Saturdays at 9:00am ($4/session). For more information email .
KARATE – For fitness & fun, self defense and personal development try Family Karate. Saturdays 10:00. $55/month for first family member and $35 each additional.
AEROBICS – Low impact classes are Monday and Friday at 8:30am. First class is free.
WEIGHT WATCHERS – Weight Watchers meets Mondays at 6:00pm in the Fireside Room.
SHARE YOUR TALENTS – Do you have a craft, project, knowledge or other talent that you would be willing to share with the rest of the church? We’re always looking for volunteers to lead workshops in the CLC.
