Sunday Mornings

Every Sunday morning at 10 am, Advent Arlington teens gather in the Kid's Cottage (next door to the church).  They join together in going through their weekly issue of I.D. which helps them connect with God's Word, to study it, interact with it, and apply it.  Several adult advisors lead them through the lesson, take time to listen to them, and make it all fun.

Huddle Youth Group

Our teens also enjoy being a part of Advent's Huddle Youth Program.  Huddle meets primarily on Sunday evenings and Wednesday evenings through Advent Cordova's "Wednesday Night Alive" program.

With Huddle our teens go on retreats, camps, service projects, and mission trips to places near and far.  For instance they have traveled to Mexico for mission, West Virginia for skiing, Arkansas for fun, and this summer they will be going to Colorado for a hiking and camping retreat experience. 

The Awakening

Our teens also are challenged to greater spiritual growth through the annual Awakening.  The Awakening is a moving weekend spiritual experience for 15-20 years old (HS freshman thru college freshmen). It is for any youth who:

1. wishes to establish and/or strengthen their spiritual life;
2. wants to have a better understanding of a relationship with Jesus, the Christian life and action for Jesus in the world;
3. strives to live a Christian life that bears fruit for God;
4. seeks to know Jesus as Savior and Lord and to make Him known.
