Need Prayer?
Persons are available to pray with and for you. Ask for one of our Stephen Ministers: Becky Bunker, Larry Myers, and Duane Gardner, or Pastor Don.
Volunteers Needed
We are recruiting persons to serve our children during Vacation Bible School. VBS takes place nightly, June 24-28 from 6:00-8:15 pm. Persons are needed to simply be with a class and take them from activity to activity. You do not need to teach or prepare anything. Volunteers are also needed to serve the children snacks. Contact Claire Little or Susan Morgan to help, or place a volunteer form in the offering plate.


Mon., May 13th  NA Group Meeting

We host an NA recovery group. They meet weekly in our Fellowship Hall. NA is open to people recovering from all types of addictions: drugs, alcohol, pornography, sex, gambling, etc.
Tues., May 14th  Book Release
Our own Deborah Sprinkle has written a fictional book, “Deadly Guardian,” which will be released this day. Kindle preorders are open already on Congratulations Debbie!

Wed., May 15th  Through the Bible
6:00 pm
It’s the bestselling book of all time… by far. It is the most significant book in human history. And yet, it seems so vast and complex that many are intimidated by it. Join us on Wednesdays for eight weekly gatherings as we go through the Bible, grasping it’s big picture composition, characters, places, themes, and message. All are welcome!
Fri., May 17th  ACTS Jr. Lock-in 6:00 pm
Join us for a super night for our 3rd-6th graders! This night serves as a transition night for ACTS Jr. We will bid goodbye to our 6th graders as they graduate into Youth Group. We welcome 3rd graders as they enter ACTS Jr.  Meet at Advent Cordova in the CLC (1879 N. Germantown Parkway). Dinner, scavenger hunt, games, snacks, roller skating, wall ball, basketball, ice cream bar, and more. Kids stay as long as you like with a suggested pick-up at 10 pm for those not wanting to spend the night and Saturday morning pick-up at 8:30 am for others. Contact Anna Pittard ( for more info.

Bring your gloves, shovels, rakes, tillers, and tractors! We will be preparing the ground by the parking lot, removing objects, smoothing it out, and laying sod.
Sun., May 19th  Groups for All Ages
9:15 am
We have four age-differentiated classes which meet in the Christian Education Building on Sunday mornings. We have the Route 66 adult class, Ignite for students in grades 7-12, ACTS Jr. for the 4th-6th graders, and an early elementary class. We also always have a nursery available for toddlers and infants. All groups are open to guests and newcomers. Come join us!
Sun., May 19th  Senior Banquet
6:00 pm   
Advent Arlington is hosting a banquet for seniors and their families. It will be followed by a panel discussion regarding college life. Contact James Weir (901-486-6440) to learn more.
