Hello, Advent!

As we adhere to social distancing, we are excited to meet digitally via the Advent Sunday Experience posted on our website, YouTube, and Facebook! We may be scattered but we are still gathering as the body of Christ, just in a new way.

We know this may seem awkward, but at the same time, it’s something beautiful. As we join together, may God continue to bless and protect you and your family. Enjoy the service and continue to pray for our church, our city, our nation and the world.

In His grip-
Alan

Easter Sermon Audio
Series: Sermons

The best thing about Easter isn't some life changing invention or event. The best thing about Easter is a world changing action. It is the resurrection of Jesus Christ who died for our sins, was buried, and was raised from the dead three days later.

    Four Building Blocks
    Series: Sermons
Neo-Orthodox theologian Emil Bruner once said, “To sin is to go at it alone.” God’s arrival among us addresses a deep need and craving that we all have within: “Can I know that I am one with God?” The Christian story tells us that God moved first, that it was his desire to dwell among us. This wonderful truth has an array of ramifications for us and our world today.

    Keeping Easter’s Flame
    Series: Sermons
    Luke 24:46-49

The resurrection of Jesus has the gravity to change our worldview.

Death is the last weapon of the tyrant, and the point of the resurrection, despite much misunderstanding, is that death has been defeated. Resurrection is not the redescription of death; it is the overthrow and, with that, the overthrow of those whose power depends on it.

To be a considerate person is to be able to handle nuance and to be willing to give up your space.

Joseph had a dilema, uphold the law or to show love to Mary. He came up with a compromise but ultimately stepped aside from his traditional role to make room for God's plan.

    Sorry – Regret
    Series: Sorry
    Luke 15: 13-24

Why did I do that? Regret is an awareness of the consequences of and event or action.

When you walk toward Christ, all of the regrets, the shame and condemnation fade away. That is available to all of us. We serve a risen savior who paid the penalty for your sin and for my sin. He says to each and every one of us, "you don't have to stay at the dead end. I am willing to forgive and willing to restore and willing to give a new life and a new beginning, to each and every one of you."
