We believe the church is not somewhere you go, it’s something you are. We know that God is moving through His church, and we want you to be a part of it. There are several ways you can get involved.



EPIC: Eat Pray Inspire Connect

Growing as disciples of Christ during our mid-week program that meets each fall and spring. Children/Youth 4 yrs.– 5th grade learn how to live out faith through Biblically based discussions, mission projects, recreation, eating together, arts/ crafts and puppets. Adult shepherds are needed to lead these activities and help. Bible studies are offered for adults as well. Nursery is available for children under 4 yrs.
Serve: Lead, help set-up, cook, food service, be a “table parent”, clean-up and more.

Riverwood Elementary School

Advent’s adopted school, we support students, teachers and administration in their pursuit of high standards in education.
Serve: Volunteers work with students weekly or help with school events such as book fairs, judging science or other projects. Members of the congregation also donate school supplies, uniforms, clinic supplies and Christmas gifts for sev eral families identified by the school.

Advent sends a mission team twice a year to support the ongoing work in Cebu and Ebenezer, Honduras. We share the love of God with people in these villages through building relationships, building homes, conducting medical clinics, holding VBS and Bible studies and whatever else God puts before us.
