Family Lineage
Mathew knew who he was talking to and how important prophesy and family line was to his audience. In relating the family line of Jesus from King David, Mathew knows there is a contradiction along the way but God had already devised His plan for salvation. Jesus fulfilled everything in prophesy through the family lineage but avoided the curse because God chose Mary to bear the Son of God.

The birth of Jesus was seen around the world in the form of a start in the sky. The sheperds and the wise men saw it, recognized its significance and were drawn to it. We can still see the light of the Risen Christ today and follow it.
