One of the main functions of the early church was to provide a glimpse of God's kingdom and justice amidst the chaos. Indeed that is what we are being invited into today. The church is not a place of pain-free perfection but simply a place of peace where we can see a picture of God's kingdom and justice amidst our own chaos.
