If a person is too occupied with righteousness, we think they miss grace, focus on rules over people, and are usually short on love. But righteousness in the New Testament is imputed (given to us) and we respond to this grace by living into the righteousness we already attained (philip 3:16) Old church language often sounds outdated or almost offensive in our current culture. In this series, we’ll explore each word and why it doesn’t seem relevant or comfortable. Then we will look at the theological concept that each word represents. Finally, we will do our best to redeem the word - looking at it in a new light and seeing its relevance and importance.
