We are surrounded with so many ideas of how we are to live our lives that focus on momentary comforts and ease. When we seek to follow Christ so closely as to be covered by the dust of his sandals we are called to give up those worldly views. We are told that we must "die to ourselves" or to give up everything that we used to identify in so that we can fully commit to Christ.

Jesus seems to fail time and again but in reality he is opening up opportunities for those around him to live the lives they so desperately long for even if they couldn’t even realize it. We are invited to get our feet dirty as we follow HIS example.
