    Uninhibited Joy
    Series: Fulfilled
    Isaiah 9:2-7

The coming of Christ multiplies our joy and disintegrates the enemies of joy.

The suspense and excitement of awaiting the fulfillment of a promise is a pure and beautiful thing. The story of the Bible shows us that God's typical way of relating to humanity is through promises. And praise God for His faithfulness in fulfilling them. As we explore the story of Israel in the Old Testament, we see promise after promise for a Messiah targeting the deepest desires of Israel. Israel's desires are naturally the desires of every human. So when 2 Corinthians 1:20 says that Christ is the "yes" and "amen" of all of God's promises, that means God has been faithful in bringing about fulfillment for the longings of Israel and humanity with the birth of Christ. This advent season, we explore the book of Isaiah to see the promises of God for our deepest desires and how the fulfillment arrives in Christ.

Join us as we explore various one anothers found in scripture that help us get outside ourselves to find true joy in community with one another. When we put our focus only on ourselves, we have a tendency to fall into despair and even depression. Jesus truly set the example of how to experience true joy by getting outside ourselves and focusing on others. These one another statements help us to live in healthy community and experience true purpose and joy that God has designed for us.

Hope One Day at a Time
    Micah 7:5-7, 2 Corinthians 4:16-18, Revelation 22:20-21

Each day is one more day that God has not fulfilled His ultimate promises, but it is also one day closer to that fulfillment; living one day at a time in that tension can inspire us to love and good works for Christ's coming kingdom.

If there’s one thing a pandemic has taught us, it’s that our entire world can change in a day. Even as we transition out of quarantine mode, we realize planning, anticipating, and committing to events is a rather nebulous concept. Who knows what tomorrow will bring? A gift of these last few months has been to force us into a Biblical rhythm that has been discovered effective in many areas of life, like counseling, health, addictions, or relationships: living one day at a time. This concept oozes from the pages of Scripture in direct and clear phrases and in the concept of a Creator and Sustainer God. Who knows what tomorrow will bring? God does. The reason we can live one day at a time is because we worship a God who lives outside of time. This sermon series aims to relieve the burden of those trying to live years, months, or even weeks at a time, to focus our hearts on the present, to inspire us to seize opportunity, and to magnify God’s greatness by increasing our trust in Him.

    ALIVE with Christ
    Series: ALIVE
    Ephesians 2:1-10

Just as God raised Jesus from the dead, we are raised to life with Christ by grace through faith. We are as ALIVE as Christ.

There's no such thing as being ALIVE outside of or without Christ. We are made ALIVE with Christ because of God's resurrecting work.
Caught up in the conveyor belt of busyness, we often find ourselves with a posture of survival. Let's just make it through the day. But why just survive when we can be ALIVE? Jesus says that He came to give us life more abundant, so what's keeping us from experiencing it? When we forget who we are and why we're here, we miss out on so much of what God designed for us as truly life. Paul writes his letter to the Ephesians to remind them of their identity in Christ and their purpose for Christ so that they could know what it means through the Gospel to be truly ALIVE. In this sermon series, we'll explore the first five chapters of Ephesians as Paul shares the truths of the Holy Spirit's work to unite us to Christ and orient our lives towards His glory. We will see and savor the message that when we were dead in our sins, God in His grace made us truly ALIVE.

    Gestures of Righteousness
Simple gestures can make a big difference in someones life. The simple act of recognizing someone, taking the time to notice them and to know them is profound. In that moment they feel welcomed and we can welcome them into the body of Christ. Through these gestures of righteousness that person can be changed and so can we.
