Grace Names Us
There is something about what we are called that tends to point to what we are called to. Jesus seeks to name us because when we are named we find our story; our destiny

    Grace Extends to All
Be careful that you don't walk away rom the grace of God because you cannot handle how generous He is.

"Or are you envious because I am generous?" (Matthew 20:15)

    Speaking in Other Languages

Will we, the church, continue to learn new languages?

the language of apology | the language of inclusion | the language of forgiveness | the language of humanity | the language of patience | the language of goodness | the language of presence

"You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." (Acts 1:8)

    The Event of Resurrection

A Christianity that promises absolute comfort, unexamined certainty, and elitist ans smug behavior doesn't fit nicely within our gospel accounts.

Jesus resurrection re-imagines our expectations for the faith. He is now God "on the loose" - he cannot be tamed or predicted.

Chaosmos (Chaos - pulled apart, Chosmos - put together)
We are transformed when we are pulled apart and put together at the same time.

    Empty and Open
"The world best kept secret: that love need not be scarce." - Karen Dombeck

If the tomb of Jesus is found to be empty and open, the maybe the tombs that we tend (regret, brokenness, scarcity, profound sadness) can be found empty and open, as well.

    Donkey One
We affirm our faith in Jesus Christ, God's only Son, who set aside the privileges of deity, emptied himself and took on the status of a slave. He became human!

    Driven
Remember, in the end, that it is not perfect people that drive out fear - but perfect love that drives out fear. Let Him drive, starting with right now.

How to Fall Asleep in Church
Just like water must be the right temperature to be transformed by a tea bag., we must have the right temperament to be transformed by the Holy Spirit. If you're not being transformed, don't blame the tea bag.

Entering the New Heaven and the New Earth
If the city is the Church built upon the foundations of the testimony of the Apostles to Christ, if the River is the Holy Spirit, what is the fruit? The fruit is the fruit of the Gospel - people converted, lives changed, sins forgiven, and characters healed. We are the fruit of the Tree of Life - and it is our privilege to share the Gospel of the Tree of Life with others.

    Lamb Light
The love of God is not just any old kind of love. It is the greatest most wonderful love we could possibly imagine. It is a love that will not let us go, that loves us despite all our sin, our brokenness, and our betrayals. It is the steadfast love of the LORD, it is the self-giving love of the great artist who created the universe, and it is the sacrificial love of the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the World.
